I know I said I wasn’t hoping to turn this blog into an advertisement board but I did just release another short story on Gumroad. Please check it out, or if you are lazy, a share is actually easier and helps me much much more. Blurb follows.
After an early – and cheaper! – release on my Patreon, You Are Always On My Minds, has been released on Gumroad for the public. It’s my first novella and took longer than my normal short story so I’m asking a base $2 price for it. I hope you understand and appreciate the work.
Red Cape and the Happily Ever After out now!
I’ve just posted my third short story on a timed exclusive schedule on my Patreon page. For the same price as the Gumroad release, which will be available on Friday, you can get the story and all the concept art that I commissioned for its release. The artwork is by LeoDamage.
Story 2 is out for sale on Gumroad. Click for links!
I started using Gumroad today and I put one of my favourite short stories up for sale, along with the awesome cover art I had commissioned for it without even knowing if I would use it.
Everything an artist does is useful. Every failure is a lesson learned, every exercise and job is practice. All you have to do is put in the time, and if you don’t you might get bitter but you have to accept that it’s your own fault. That’s hard. I know because that is my main problem. Just don’t add stress to your worries by comparing your progress to another artist’s. everyone works and learns at a different pace. Just do something and you will improve. The more you do, the more you improve and the faster you improve. Simple!
Today is the day. Chapter one of my debut novel, Fools’ Blood is now available on Wattpad. Please have a look and tell me what you think! I’ll be posting a new chapter every week on what is Saturday for me, but probably Friday night for most of you. If you enjoy it, please come back and follow the continuing adventure of a vampire searching for his purpose. The full synopsis is at the end of this post.
You can see and vote in the poll here. Twitter doesn’t leave a lot of room for explanation, so allow me to burden you with some knowledge. I’ve given the one line pitch for the novel in the retweet, so you have some context to help pick from the options, but why those options?
I’m quitting Facebook soon and I’m going to concentrate on my Twitter, Wordpress, Deviantart, and for the time being, Instagram. The latter is owned by Facebook, but is not quite so fascist with its policies yet.
